July 1995 to Sept 2000 Pracctice Ltd. – Legal Software supplier Starting position - Salesman, final position - Sales & Marketing Director. Over the five years with practice I helped build the company up from 8 staff (one salesman) with around 100 clients, to 45 staff, around 450 clients with a team of three internal salespeople and 2 dealerships. I was made a Director of the company in January 1999 in recognition of my efforts on behalf of the company. As Sales and Marketing director I was responsible for marketing strategy, organising exhibitions, developing and managing new and dealerships, building and training the internal sales team, as well as continuing my personal sales effort for the company. I also helped ensure the product achieved Law Society recognition under the new scheme launched in 1998, which we received confirmation of for the third year running in August of this year. I was also responsible for developing ongoing relationships with third party suppliers such as CompuAdd, Viglen and Elonex (for hardware and networking services) and other legal suppliers for mutually beneficial marketing, such as DPS, BCL, Lexology and Alternative Team Ltd. |

April 1994 to July 1995 Gower Business Systems, Swansea - Systems dealership Position - Salesman Gower employed me in part to offer support for their existing clients using the Hay Logic system, but primarily as a salesman. The company's main products were Pracctice Integrated Legal systems, Pegasus Opera commercial accounting systems, hardware, networking and training services. During my time with Gower the company became dealers for Pracctice Ltd. |

Jan 1991 to Mar 1994 Hay Logic Ltd. - Legal Software supplier. Starting position - "Technical Assistant", final position - Salesman. I was the first employee of HayLogic and started my position testing the DOS based Legal software. During my time with the company my role included telephone and on-site software and technical support, hardware, software and network installation (including Ethernet cabling), Payroll and office management, training and sales. I was made redundant in March 1994, when the company was put in to voluntary liquidation by the directors. HayLogic had six employees and around 75 clients (inc. the Lord Chancellors Dept.) and one dealership (Gower Business Systems, Swansea) at the time. |
